The Mandeville School Celebrates as Mary Grant Wins Prestigious Buckinghamshire School Award

On the 9th of July 2026, The Mandeville School (TMS) community received wonderful news: our very own Medical Officer and Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL), Mary Grant, was named the winner of the Health and Wellbeing Award at the Buckinghamshire School Awards 2026.

Following the excitement of her initial nomination earlier this year, seeing Mary take home the trophy at the ceremony was an incredibly proud moment for the school. This prestigious accolade is a well-deserved testament to the exceptional standard of care, unwavering dedication, and professionalism she brings to TMS every single day.

As a Medical Officer and DSL, Mary plays a fundamental role in the daily lives of our students. Mary consistently goes above and beyond her formal duties to ensure the physical and mental health of our school community. Whether she is providing essential medical care, offering a listening ear, or championing new safeguarding initiatives, she works tirelessly to foster a supportive, healthy, and nurturing environment where every student feels valued, protected, and ready to learn.

The Buckinghamshire School Awards celebrate the very best in education and student support across the county, making this a highly competitive and respected honour. To be recognised on such a prominent stage highlights the profound impact Mary has on the lives of our young people.
