IAT Students Shine Under the Lights: Second Trust-Wide Concert a Resounding Success
Students from across the Insignis Academy Trust took to the stage at The Waterside Theatre to showcase an incredible evening of singing, dancing, acting, and live music.
The second Insignis Academy Trust Concert brought together the immense talents of students from all six IAT schools across Buckinghamshire. Spanning in age from Primary to Sixth Form, the performers experienced the unforgettable thrill of performing under the professional theatre lights in what was described as a truly unique event.
A Commitment to the Creative Arts
In his opening address, IAT Chief Executive Officer Garret Fay warmly welcomed parents and carers, emphasising the Trust’s steadfast dedication to the arts.
"At each of our schools, the Creative Arts play a major role in the lives of all our students," Garret noted. "We are committed to the preservation of the Creative Arts at our schools. We believe in them because we see the value in the experience of performing."
He highlighted that participating in Drama, Dance, and Music provides students with vital opportunities to express themselves in ways that traditional academic subjects often cannot.
A Massive Collaborative Undertaking
Producing a unified show with students from six different schools across a wide range of age groups is no small feat. Garret took the time to express his deep gratitude to the staff and families who made the ambitious event a reality.
Special recognition was given to Mrs Anna Bradley from Sir Henry Floyd Grammar School, who served as the Executive Director for the evening. Garret praised her for "pulling all of the strings and threading them together" to create such a seamless and spectacular performance.
The CEO also extended his thanks to the dedicated Creative Arts teachers across all IAT schools, whose hard work in rehearsing and preparing the students was evident in the high calibre of the performances.
"This event is a massive undertaking, and it is only possible because you have come to support it," he told the audience of parents and carers. "We are very aware that hosting an event like this is pretty unique in Buckinghamshire, but that's what makes it so special."
