Well-Being across the trust

At Insignis Academy Trust, we prioritise the well-being of our staff and students. We believe that a healthy and happy school environment is essential for fostering a positive learning experience. Our dedicated team works tirelessly to ensure that everyone feels supported and valued, creating a sense of community and belonging.

We understand the importance of mental health and well-being in the workplace. We provide various resources and support systems to help our staff maintain a healthy work-life balance.

By prioritising well-being across the trust, we aim to create a positive and productive environment where everyone can thrive and reach their full potential.

Wellbeing Culture

Insignis Academy Trust (IAT) is committed to fostering a culture of wellbeing, prioritising both physical and mental health. Our 'Being Well, Means Doing Well' ethos is embedded across the Trust, with all executive leaders, Heads of School and IAT’s School Improvement Team trained in Level 2 Mental Health First Aid. Regular external wellbeing coaching further enhances their leadership in this area.

IAT's dedication to wellbeing has been recognised with the Buckinghamshire Schools Award for Health and Wellbeing in July 2024. Additionally, annual staff surveys indicate a significant improvement in wellbeing perceptions, with a 13% increase in the key performance indicator from 2023 to 2024.

Staff, student and pupil wellbeing is essential for cultivating a Well Schools Trust, for retaining and motivating staff and for promoting student and pupil attainment. Together, we will nurture a culture of wellbeing, ensuring that each member of our Trust community thrives both personally and professionally.

Well-Being Lead - Ali Arber

Our Well-Being Lead's primary aim is to support each Insignis member of staff at an individual level, recognising that their wellbeing, encompassing the physical, emotional, and mental aspects, is a cornerstone of fostering a healthy Trust environment. In the realm of education, where our staff expertly juggle an array of tasks and demands, it's paramount that everyone receives the necessary emotional and practical support.

Should you or a colleague ever encounter any challenges impacting wellbeing, please don't hesitate to reach out to our Well-Being Lead; Ali Arber at aarber@insignis.org.uk.

Together, we will nurture a culture of wellbeing, ensuring that each member of our Trust community thrives both personally and professionally.
